Hackney New Primary School has received approval to open
We are delighted to announce that our application to open Hackney New Primary School (HNPS) in September 2015 has been approved by the Department for Education.
Work to prepare for the opening of HNPS, which will have a cohort of 50 children in reception, will commence immediately. Particular efforts will be undertaken to secure our preferred site, the former Kingsland Road fire station.
Parents will be able to apply for a place at HNPS from September 2014, and the deadline for applications is 15th January 2015. We will keep you informed of all relevant developments over the coming months and will hold a series of information meetings in the autumn:
Saturday 27 September- 10am at Hackney New School, Downham Road
Tuesday 30 September- 7pm at Hackney New School, Downham Road
Wednesday 1 October- pop in for coffee and a chat any time between 8am - 11am at The Proud Archivist, Hertford Road, N1 5ET
A New Primary School for Hackney
Following the successful opening of its new secondary school at Downham Road, the Hackney New School Academy Trust has gained approval from the DfE to open a new community primary school in September 2015.
Our vision for Hackney New Primary School is to provide students with access to the widest range of opportunities in life by fostering academic excellence and instilling self-belief, intellectual curiosity and responsibility towards others in society.
